Our heroes, having had audience with the King of the Seelie Court, are given a boon, in a manner of speaking, that quickly and secretly transports them to Troll's Bridge. The drawback of this boon is that our heroes are inconveniently separated and spread throughout the city. What else can one expect from The Fey? |
Troll's Bridge Landings
Legeand's Landing
Legeand's thoughts as King David of The Seelie Court whisks him off to Troll's Bridge are being down close to the river. The King obliges. Legeand appears on a rocky ledge only feet from the surface of a vast river. To his right is the opening of a harbor with several ships docked within. To his left looms the huge structure of a natural land bridge. He can see cave openings underneath this bridge in the cliff sides on the far side of the river. A ship is entering the harbor as Legeand takes in a deep breath and realizes the warms of the sun beating on him. He is jarred from his reverie by the shouts and laughter from the ship as it passes. "What?! The fellow thinks he is going for a dip!" shouts a laughing sailor. "He better think twice about that!" another sailor roars in laughter. "Looks like good swimming to me!" a young deckhand hollers. Laughter and guffaws follow the youngster's comment as other sailors hoist the deckhand up, making a move to throw the lad overboard. The first sailor raises his arm to stay the revel, "Put the lad down. Naive crew is better than insane crew. This water here is poisonous, so no bathing until we get into town." The sailor looks back at Legeand, "That goes for you too, lad! Do not be doing anything more than sunbathing there." The ship sails by, the sailors all having a good laugh. |
Nyza's Landing
Nyza's thoughts as King David of The Seelie Court whisks her off to Troll's Bridge is of a large, open warehouse near the harbor of the city. The King obliges. Nyza appears on a wooden platform looking down on stocks of food, ale, weapons, armor and other goods stored in a great stone building. She can hear someone strolling among the crates on the floor below the platform on which she stands. On the wall at the level of this platform is a great hoist and block and tackles attached to rails in the ceiling hang about the warehouse. |
Oliveryn's Landing
Oliveryn's thoughts as King David of The Seelie Court whisks him off to Troll's Bridge is entering Troll's Bridge from the south. The King detects Oliveryn's subconscious desire to be home and sets him, his followers, his horses and his carriage down in the city closer to home. Oliveryn's senses clear and he realizes that he is standing in his estate's stables with Austin, Godric and Isilayligard. Eregard is nowhere to be seen, the horses are stabled and the carriage is stored in its proper place at the end of the stables, its coat of arms shining with their usual luster. A stable hand can be seen peering at them from inside one of the stalls where he leapt in surprise at their sudden appearance. |
Ozimius' Landing
Ozimius' thoughts as King David of The Seelie Court whisks him off to Troll's Bridge is finding members of the Sajenese Khan Family. The King obliges. As Ozimius is transported to the city his wings shrink and fade, but he realizes that he can produce them again if he needs them, though not again this day. He suddenly finds himself in a darkened stall of a tavern on the edge of a subsiding bar brawl. As his vision focuses, he sees two Sajenese thugs restraining a beaten Thieves' Thought member and then realizes he peering at them over another struggling local thief lying across the table and through a pair of alluring legs of another Sajenese. One foot at the end of these legs pins the rogue's neck to the table while the other supports a woman who stands on the table, her sword pointed at her captive's crotch. Looking over her shoulder she commands the others, "Show that one the Sajenese meaning of retribution!" The thugs grin evilly and drag their captive out of sight down a hall. The Sajenese woman returns her attention to her captive, addressing him with her low seductive voice, "You really should have focused on your mission than gotten distracted with this." With a quick flex of her leg, she snaps the prone rogue's neck, a strength that belies her slender figure. The woman seems, suddenly, to realize Ozimius is sitting at the table on which she stands, redirects the point of her blade from the rogue's crotch to the point of Ozimius's nose and takes a closer look. She grins, seeing utterly no reaction from the Sajenese newcomer, and says it the same seductive tone as she lowers the blade, "Like the show?" Balis Sphinx |

Looking around, he realizes that he is standing on an alter in front of a congregation. The kobolds in worship suddenly leap to their feet, snarling and preparing weapons. They quickly become quite when they realize the similarities between T'Krosh and the tall statue standing behind the altar on which he stands. |
Wintersky's Landing

The King sets her, SnowShadow and Cinder down in close proximity to the missing ambassador. Wintersky and SnowShadow find themselves in a dark, stone chamber lit by dim oil lamps. The chamber contains crates stacked along two adjacent walls. The opposite walls have doors in their centers. One is an open archway through which stairs leading up can be seen. The other door appears to be some kind of vault that has been sealed with tar. In the center of this door is a circular portal in which a large crystal been placed and sealed with tar as well. A pair of glowing red eyes can be seen peering from the crystal portal. |
