It will just be a short entry today.

Before leaving Redemption, I had my followers from the Sha'Tek go west to a proper location for our new city. Bektul, the more experience of the warband, did manage to track down a suitable location in the side of a mountain. Prospecting is ongoing, but he described the presence of thermal vents, food sources, and a possible vein of copper ore. All good news so far, yes? Not quite.

Apparently, there are some giants in the area. Now normally, that would not be much of a concern for us. Giants pose almost no threat of invasion to kobolds on account of their size - they can't come into our tunnels. However, because Sparta and his kin will be creating the city alongside us kobolds, and because his kind make their homes above ground, the giants may become an issue. On one hand, I do not want to just barge in and try to kick them off the land they inhabit. But on the other hand, if there is unused space that is suitable for the halflings, then the giants will just have to learn to share.
