Wheee, magical flying is fun! We launched an attack on the Gaedracis's first lieutenant today, and I had the opportunity to cast a Fly spell on myself. I then flew over the heads of some giants and torched them with scorching rays. Red dragons are supposed to be evil creatures, but if that's only because they fly overhead and toast hapless villagers, then I can't say I blame them.
The Gaedracis lieutenant was a competent spellcaster but, luckily for us, he focused very little on offensive magic. He tried to create pillars of stone to delay our advance (which I easily flew over), but they proved only a minor inconvenience. The real threat came from his Giant ally. It pounded on Oliveryn and that fellow he brings along with him, but they survived their wounds. I was flying straight at the lieutenant at the time, but I decided to bank left and help out Oliveryn. So I strafed the giant with scorching rays until it collapsed in a smouldering pile of ash! Hah! I am going to have dreams about flying for weeks, I think.
The Gaedracis lieutenant was killed by his master, so our job here is finished. Our next stop is Rebelton where we will intercept the Gaedracis's bandit army. While we're there, I need to remember to pick up some more paint. I feel like I've gone through all of my supply in these last few days!
