I met with Zazaltash the azer again a few days ago. We spoke at great length about the nature of fire and Tetrasol. I think now I have an idea how to keep safe from fire - or at least, I know how to start. I need to let the element run through me gradually; acclimate to it over time like any other dangerous substance. I need to become like an azer or fire elemental myself. 

This seems like a good place to write my ideas on fire. You see, I think the element is alive. It acts like any other creature: it consumes food, it grows in size, it moves, and it reproduces. Flames can also be domesticated, which leads in to my next point. Fire is not sentient by nature, but it can be. We see this in Fire Elementals, sentient beings made purely of the element. I think that if I had enough arcane power, I could extend my own senses enough to awaken the intelligence of fire.

Anyway, this is all talk for another time. I need to practice my spells more before I can think of such lofty goals.
